Job description

Position Summary

The Senior Data Analyst will serve as the lead for Data Analytics and Modeling, in accordance with PWS 2.5.8.2. This position is responsible for overseeing the development of descriptive and predictive analytical products that support operational, logistics, and supply chain decision-making.

The Senior Data Analyst will apply advanced analytical techniques to complex datasets, develop models and visualizations, identify meaningful trends, and translate analytical findings into actionable information for Government and program leadership. The position will also provide technical leadership, mentorship, and quality oversight to junior data analysts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead for Data Analytics and Modeling activities in accordance with PWS 2.5.8.2.
  • Lead the development of descriptive, diagnostic, and predictive analytical products.
  • Analyze complex datasets to identify patterns, trends, relationships, risks, and operational opportunities.
  • Develop statistical and predictive models to support logistics, supply chain, and operational decision-making.
  • Apply data-mining, statistical-modeling, and machine-learning techniques to address complex business and operational requirements.
  • Develop dashboards, visualizations, reports, and analytical products using Tableau and/or Power BI.
  • Transform raw data into meaningful metrics, performance indicators, and actionable insights.
  • Evaluate supply chain and operational data to identify performance trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure analytical methodologies, models, and outputs are accurate, reliable, repeatable, and appropriately documented.
  • Present complex analytical findings in a clear and understandable manner to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Develop reports, presentations, and executive-level briefings to communicate analytical findings and recommendations.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and task direction to junior data analysts.
  • Review analytical products and models developed by junior personnel to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Collaborate with logistics analysts, Government personnel, program leadership, and other stakeholders to identify analytical requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement of data collection, analysis, modeling, visualization, and reporting processes.
  • Perform additional data analytics and modeling responsibilities as required to support contract objectives.

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Operations Research, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in data analytics.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting supply chain or logistics operations.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and delivering advanced analytical products.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • An active SECRET security clearance is required.
  • Demonstrated experience with data mining and advanced data analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical analysis and statistical modeling techniques.
  • Experience developing predictive models and applying machine-learning methodologies.
  • Proficiency with data visualization and business intelligence tools, including Tableau and/or Power BI.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze large and complex datasets and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Ability to develop dashboards, reports, metrics, and executive-level analytical products.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
