Job description

Amentum, a global leader in advanced engineering, technical, and professional services serving the US government, allies and critical infrastructure sectors, is seeking an FRCS Cybersecurity Manager to support a government contract based on the island of Diego Garcia.

The FRCS Cybersecurity Manager will install, configure, calibrate, operate, and maintain hardware and software of IT, and OT of FRCS. The FRCS Cybersecurity Manager will employ user access and privileged user access to Navy Networks and Information Systems in conjunction with skills in systems administration, network administration, and control system security to operate, maintain, sustain, upgrade, and troubleshoot systems and components to assure and maintain reliable operation and compliance with Navy and NAVFAC IT and OT policy and directives.

Duties may include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Support government execution of Cybersecurity Program for all control systems per the Cybersecurity Roles and Responsibilities for Facility-Related Control Systems at site.

  • Serve as principal advisor to USG and Program leadership on all matters relating to the security and integrity.

  • Maintain (upgrades, operation changes, etc.) OT system and networks, to include hardware and software.

  • Monitor OT performance and system recovery processes to ensure security features and procedures are properly functioning.

  • Participate in the incident reporting program and conduct reporting.

  • Provide customer support and ensure that all users have the required security clearances, authorization, need to know, signed and approved privileged user agreement, and are aware of their security responsibilities before granting access to the OT.

  • Assist in ensuring the system is operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with security policies and practices outlined in the accreditation and certification support documentation package.

  • Confirm software licenses and documentation are maintained and notify the designated POCs when changes occur.

  • Assist in development and maintenance of the accreditation and certification support documentation package.

  • Establish audit trails, system logs, and conduct reviews periodically, and ensure audit records are archived for future reference.

  • Validate and/or define system performance, availability, and functionality requirements.

  • Assist in preparation of site Certification and Accreditation (C&A).

  • Continuously review threat, system vulnerabilities, and residual risk.

  • Other duties as assigned.

The FRCS Cybersecurity Manager shall also leverage excellent oral and written communication skills in work with multiple stakeholders to gain understanding of mission dependencies of systems and components, and shall capture and maintain written procedures in government-approved format to restore systems and components in response to a range of events requiring human intervention and contingencies. The FRCS Cybersecurity Manager shall perform tasks to implement, maintain, and assess cybersecurity on systems and components, and shall follow procedures to coordinate activities, preserve availability and functional integrity of services (such as electricity or water production) during changes, and ensure backups of system and component configurations are regularly captured and tested.

The location is the island of Diego Garcia.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer science, or Information Systems and 5+ years of prior relevant experience; 4 additional years of experience may be utilized

  • Credentials that meet DoD Cyber Workforce requirements for specialty codes 441 (Network Operations Specialist), 451 (Systems Administration Specialist), and 462 (Control System Security Specialist) at the intermediate level

  • Experience in an austere OCONUS environment with a multi-national workforce

  • Must be familiar with current global, US, Program and PWS requirements

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US passport and driver's license throughout employment in this role

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization

  • Ability to successfully pass PACOM medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deployment

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance

WORK ENVIRONMENT, PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Able to stand for long periods of time such as eight (8) to ten (10) hours, bend, kneel, and reach to store/retrieve supplies

  • Able to lift, carry, and push supplies and boxes up to 50 pounds

  • Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable

  • May work in a typical office environment
