Job Summary:
The Construction Surveillance Technician (CST) Site Security Manager is responsible for overseeing the security operations of construction sites, ensuring the safety and protection of personnel, property, and information. This role involves monitoring surveillance systems, coordinating security protocols, and managing security personnel. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to handle high-pressure situations effectively.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement comprehensive security plans for construction sites.
• Oversee the installation, maintenance, and monitoring of surveillance systems, including cameras, alarms, and access control systems.
• Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective measures.
• Coordinate with project managers and contractors to ensure security plans align with construction schedules and activities.
• Manage and supervise security personnel, ensuring they are adequately trained and equipped to perform their duties.
• Respond to security incidents and emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement and emergency services as necessary.
• Maintain detailed records of security activities, incidents, and investigations.
• Recruit, train, and supervise a team of security officers, ensuring they adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to security personnel.
• Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the security team.
• Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration among security staff.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations related to construction site security.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on security activities, incidents, and compliance status to senior management.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in construction site security, incorporating them into security plans and protocols.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to address security concerns and ensure the smooth execution of construction projects.
• Communicate effectively with clients, addressing their security-related inquiries and concerns.
• Participate in meetings and briefings with project teams, providing updates on security status and activities.
Requirements
Qualifications (Required):
  • US Citizenship and a minimum age of 18 years.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Surveillance Technician (CST).
  • Valid CST Certification.
  • Active Top-Secret Clearance.
  • Strong customer service skills with a commitment to meeting the needs of end-users.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interpret and clearly convey information.
  • Ability to work in a Windows-based operating environment.
  • Consistent availability and responsiveness, including evenings, weekends, and after-hours

Preferred:
  • Experience with security operations or data center workflows.
  • Knowledge of security protocols and best practices in construction surveillance.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Key Competencies:
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle sensitive information responsibly.
