HiFyve is hiring an Agronomy Sales Specialist in Greeley, CO


Pay: $70,000-$80,000/year

Shift: Days

Location: Greeley, CO

Travel: 50%-75%, up to approximately 2 weeks per month

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Agronomy Sales Specialist to drive sales and provide technical agronomic support to dairy farming operations. This position works directly with dairy producers and internal sales teams to recommend agronomic products, optimize crop production, and develop long-term customer relationships.

The ideal candidate has proven success in direct, on-farm agronomy sales, strong knowledge of crop inputs used for cattle feed production, and familiarity with dairy farming practices.


Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Area Sales Managers and Sales Associates on technical agronomy sales visits to dairy farming operations
  • Develop strong consultative relationships with dairy producers and serve as a trusted agronomic resource
  • Generate sales and provide technical support for agronomic products and crop production needs
  • Schedule regular farm visits to develop an understanding of agronomic conditions throughout the assigned territory
  • Manage field trials with industry partners and provide analytical feedback on results
  • Attend and present at trade shows, farm field days, membership meetings, and other industry events
  • Utilize marketing resources for targeted outreach and manage prospect follow-up from initial contact through completion
  • Document customer and sales interactions in Salesforce within 24 hours
  • Work closely with internal Sustainability, Farm Practices, and other teams to advocate for producer needs and expectations
  • Manage multiple customer relationships, products, and services across a large geographic territory with minimal supervision
  • Perform additional duties as assigned


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management or Crop Science with a minimum of 5 years of experience and proven success in direct, on-farm sales and support of agronomic inputs, or an equivalent combination of direct business experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in direct, on-farm sales and support of agronomic inputs
  • Working knowledge of high-value agronomic inputs used for cattle feed production
  • Familiarity with dairy farms and dairy farming practices related to crop production
  • Ability to independently manage a large geographic territory and organize multiple sales and customer activities
  • Strong relationship-management skills with the ability to coordinate products and services for dairy producers
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently with a high level of motivation and follow-through
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English
  • Ability to travel 50%-75%, including up to approximately 2 weeks per month
