By collaborating with researchers, we leverage advanced technology to create tools that facilitate groundbreaking experiments and push the boundaries of biological knowledge. We are committed to learning and evolving alongside our scientific community, continually offering new advancements in life science technology. Role Description We're looking for a videographer to help us create short-form video content that brings our products and technology to life. This role focuses on filming and editing quick demos, simple explainers, social clips, and other visual assets that support customer engagement in the life sciences. Who this role could be great for This position allows a step in the door at a fast-moving life science platform company based in the Chicago area — great networking opportunities and real-life entrepreneurial learnings. Qualifications Familiarity with video editing tools such as Premiere Pro, Final Cut or DaVinci Resolve Exposure to AI video and 3D animation tools Comfortable filming with DSLR, mirrorless, or phone-based setups Interest in science, research or biotechnology is a strong plus Ability to work independently and meet quick turnarounds Creative thinker with attention to detail Available ~4–8 hours per week (however, we are flexible!) Required to be onsite for filming, with ability to edit remotely Compensation This is a Volunteer position that is Unpaid and assessed on a monthly basis. Film and edit short videos for product demos, social media and web content. Capture footage of devices, workflows, and quick how-to sequences. Add text overlays, simple graphics, and basic motion elements when needed. Maintain organized video files and help shape a consistent visual style. Collaborate with the team to storyboard and translate technical topics into clear visual content.
