Job Title: Control Room Operator Location: Corpus Christi, Texas Type: Direct Hire Work Model: Onsite – onsite

Responsibilities

  • Monitor instruments, gas turbines, steam conditions, and generator loads from control panels.
  • Issue and manage lockout/tag-out (LOTO) permits, hot work permits, and confined space entry permits.
  • Diagnose equipment anomalies and create work requests for the maintenance team.
  • Maintain detailed operational logs, event tracking, and environmental compliance records.
Requirements
  • High school diploma with extra training in trade school, military service, or technical equivalents.
  • Approximately 5 years of direct experience in steam or electric power plant operations and equipment maintenance.
  • Applied knowledge in mechanics, electronics, water chemistry, or instrument and control systems.
  • Familiarity with computerized databases, spreadsheets, and plant management software.
  • GED, High School
