Job Title: Traveling Superintendent - Tilt Wall Construction
Location: Nationwide (Travel Required)

Position Overview:
Our client, a leading construction firm, is seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent specializing in Tilt Wall construction for large-scale distribution centers and cold storage facilities. This role requires extensive travel across the U.S. to oversee job sites, ensuring that each project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. Ideal candidates bring expertise in tilt wall construction methods and a proven track record managing large industrial builds from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
  • On-Site Leadership: Serve as the lead superintendent on nationwide job sites, managing all day-to-day construction activities, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring efficient work progress.
  • Project Scheduling & Coordination: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, work with project managers to track milestones, and adjust schedules as necessary to meet project goals.
  • Tilt Wall Expertise: Leverage extensive experience with tilt wall construction techniques to manage formwork, concrete pours, lifting operations, and wall placement safely and efficiently.
  • Cold Storage & Distribution Facility Oversight: Ensure compliance with specifications and specialized requirements for cold storage and distribution facilities, coordinating installations like refrigeration, insulation, and temperature control systems as needed.
  • Quality Control & Safety: Uphold rigorous quality and safety standards on the job site. Conduct regular inspections to ensure work meets design specs, and actively address potential issues to prevent delays.
  • Subcontractor Management: Oversee and communicate with subcontractors to confirm they meet project timelines, quality expectations, and safety standards.
  • Progress Reporting: Maintain detailed daily logs and progress reports. Regularly communicate with project management and stakeholders on job site updates, challenges, and solutions.
  • Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impact timelines or budgets, working closely with the project management team to keep projects on track.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience: 8+ years as a Superintendent, with at least 5 years in tilt wall construction and experience on large-scale industrial projects, specifically distribution centers or cold storage facilities.
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of tilt wall construction methods, large-scale concrete operations, and cold storage or industrial build specifications.
  • Travel Willingness: Must be able to travel nationwide and be on-site full-time during project builds, with flexibility for extended stays as needed.
  • Safety-Centric: Strong commitment to enforcing and promoting job site safety, with OSHA 30 certification or similar strongly preferred.
  • Communication & Leadership: Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills to coordinate diverse teams and report to stakeholders effectively.
