Job description

Construction Estimator
Who: A seasoned Estimator with at least 4 years of experience working with General Contractors in the Atlanta market.

What: You'll lead preconstruction efforts including conceptual estimating, subcontractor bid management, and proposal development.

When: This full-time opportunity is available immediately.

Where: Based in Atlanta, Georgia.

Why: Due to continued growth, the team is looking to add a skilled Estimator to support multiple projects in early design phases.

Office Environment: Collaborative and fast-paced, with a team-oriented culture and client-facing responsibilities.

Salary: $75K - $95K

Position Overview:

This role will manage all aspects of the preconstruction process including estimating, bid solicitation, proposal development, and support during project presentations and interviews. The Estimator will also serve as the main point of contact during the preconstruction phase and mentor junior team members when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze design drawings and specs to develop trade-specific bid packages
  • Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and vendors
  • Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and scope narratives
  • Lead the creation of complete bid proposals and support project interviews
  • Manage multiple estimates at different stages of design concurrently
  • Assist in scheduling and act as a liaison with leadership and clients during preconstruction

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 4 years in estimating with a general contractor
  • Knowledge of CM-at-Risk, Design/Build, and Hard Bid delivery methods
  • Strong communication skills and comfort speaking publicly
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction software (Procore Bidding Tools preferred)
  • Ability to read construction documents and manage time effectively under pressure
  • Team-oriented with a positive, detail-focused mindset
