We are seeking a Business Development Manager Construction to join our team! You will maintain and grow the construction side of our business. 

Must be outgoing, friendly, organized and driven to make more money by working hard.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms or related software
  • Able to perform site survey's, use a tape measure, work with all levels of customers. 

Pay is salaried with commission incentives with no commission cap.

Responsibilities and Duties

The ideal candidate for this position has proficient computer knowledge and experience with Microsoft Windows-based programs, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). He/she must have fluent English speaking and writing skills and strong mastery of spelling, grammar, punctuation, and proofreading rules. In addition, he/she must have a good understanding of marketing strategies, basic sales and telemarketing tactics and excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Spends time generating leads, following up on sales inquiries and closing sales.
  • Makes sales calls (both on the phone and in person) to generate new business and maintains and updates lists of prospective customers and referrals.
  • Makes calls to direct mail recipients, existing customers and new business listings.
  • Attends shows, organizational meetings etc. to represent Signarama and generate new business leads.
  • Obtains referrals, enters all information into the POS/Accounting system, and provides follow up with all referrals in a systematic/organized fashion.
  • Attends bid walks and takes good notes and pictures for job estimating. 
  • Maintains an organized, clean, and professional personal appearance at all times.
  • Must hit set sales targets.
  • Works closely with the Production Area to answer any questions they may have concerning current work orders.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 2+ years of previous sales experience required. Marketing, communications, or business etc. degree preferred.
  • Computer and internet skills, including Microsoft Office suite.
  • Spelling, grammar, punctuation competencies.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Strong customer service skills and abilities.
  • Outstanding phone skills and in person presentation skills.
  • Must be able to close leads that have already been generated and also must not hesitate to cold call when needed.
  • Must be able to negotiate, overcome objections and close sales.
  • Prompt, reliable, and responsible with evident self-motivation
  • Must have reliable transportation that can be used for sales calls.

Job Types: Full-time, Commission
