Visscher Construction & Restoration is a growing, family-owned construction company located in West Michigan. We focus on Residential building as well as some Commercial work, including: new builds, additions, exteriors, and insurance mitigation & restoration.


Job Overview

We are seeking a Project Manager to oversee projects from the initial scoping to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and above-average problem-solving abilities. This role requires the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and prioritize effectively. The right candidate will excel at closing out projects and possess a solid understanding of construction principles.


Team Member Screening- At Visscher Construction, we take pride in bringing dignity back to the trades, with our Heads Held High (a core value we call "The 3 H's"). As part of that goal, we require rigorous screening on all applicants before making a final job offer. This includes passing the following screenings:

  • Motor vehicle report (we require proof of a valid drivers license and will review past driving records)
  • Candidate must also have reliable transportation to and from work
  • County/State/National criminal background check
  • Credit report screening
  • Substance-abuse screening


Role-Specific Requirements (Project Manager)


  • Manage all aspects of construction projects from pre-construction through to final close-out.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and inspectors.
  • Schedule all project phases, including site prep, structural, MEP, and finishes.
  • Maintain consistent, professional communication with all internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in strict adherence to contract documents and safety codes.
  • Maintain meticulous project records, including daily logs, and communication records.
  • Process change orders, subcontractor pay approvals, and owner invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Build and maintain strong, productive relationships with high-quality subcontractors and material suppliers.


All Team Members Requirements


  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Prior experience in construction, with a focus on insurance restoration preferred.
  • Proficiency with email, calendars, scheduling, and construction management software.
  • Ability to adhere to 5S organizational principles.
  • Assist in creating, revising, and following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement efforts and provide constructive suggestions.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to handle shifting priorities and emergency situations.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and with homeowners during stressful situations.
  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation required.

Hours:Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Compensation:Salary position, $60k-$75k, depending on experience. Production bonus opportunities.
