Job description

Overview
The Configuration Data Manager is responsible for process management and performing oversight functions to ensure configuration management of articles inducted into the manufacturing and MRO processes are maintained IAW customer requirements and technical data package(s).
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for configuration management planning
  • Describes provisions for configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting, and configuration audits
  • Responsible for configuration planning. Identifies and maintains the original configuration of requirements documentation, design documentation, and related documentation
  • Responsible for configuration change control
  • Regulates the change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into documents
  • Responsible for configuration status accounting
  • Tracks all problems and changes in product documents and reports changes and current configuration
  • Responsible for configuration audits
  • Supports audits to verify that requirements of all baselines have been met
  • Assigns tasks and prioritizes activities within the department to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree of Arts or Science Required
  • Degree in a Technical Field preferred

Experience:
  • Five years of experience required; eight years preferred

Any combination of education/experience may be substituted for job requirements at the recommendation of the hiring manager and approval of the COO and CEO.
