Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Shift Supervisor to join our team in Old Lyme, CT location. The Warehouse Supervisor will work under the direction of the Shift Manager to coordinate the daily activities of the warehouse operation, including but not limited to supporting the shipping and receiving leadership in the following areas: picking, packing, shipping, receiving, transferring, sanitation, safety and maintenance. Position available on Day Shift: Monday through Thursday, 4:30 pm start.

Essential Functions:
* Coordinate the scheduling of warehouse personnel to ensure proper staffing in order to complete multiple tasks at the facility in a calm, productive and cost-efficient manner
* Timely release and sort work to be processed with the defined priority.
* Ensure work is processed in a timely and accurate manner to maximize our customer's experience
* Recommend ways to improve warehouse productivity and accuracy.
* Assist management in establishing budgets as needed, and adhere to budget requirements.
* Report all IT issues immediately so a ticket can be created.
* Work with the BDM and Night Warehouse Manager to ensure proper maintenance of the facilities, equipment and supplies; Communicate equipment needs and replacement requirements to management in order to upgrade and maintain warehouse productivity and efficiency
* Work with the BDM and Night Warehouse Manager to ensure Safety Program initiatives are enforced, providing a safe and clean workplace for employees, while remaining in compliance with OSHA, state and local requirements, as applicable
* Support and participate in the organization's Continuous Improvement Program
* Exercise the usual authority of a supervisor with regards to training, coaching, performance issues, timekeeping and career development
* Work with the BDM and Night Warehouse Manager regarding escalated performance issues and terminations, merit increases and performance appraisals, and promotions
* Perform other related duties as assigned by the building leadership and/or divisional management

Required Qualifications:
* High School diploma
* Ability to multi-task, delegate responsibilities and oversee multiple priorities effectively
* Good verbal and written communication skills, across all levels of the organization
* Mediation and conflict resolution, and associated documentation
* Flexible schedule as required to fulfill business needs; Excellent attendance required
Preferred Qualifications:
* College degree preferred
* Minimum 2-4 years experience in warehouse supervision, preferably in more progressive roles with a broad range of responsibilities
* Forklift and other material handling equipment experience
* Computer experience (Word, Excel, email, etc) necessary, AS400 experience a plus
* Fleet Management and/or Hazmat experience a plus
* Experience supervising a team
Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, balance and use arms and hands to reach, pull, push, clasp and move a variety of materials. Walkways are concrete and/or metal grating. The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 20 lbs frequently. Employee may be exposed to high, precarious places. The warehouse environment can be hot (or cold) and dusty.
The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $70,000-78000. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate's qualifications and the business context.
