Picker Packer

CoWorx Staffing Services is now hiring Picker / Packers in Danbury, CT! The Picker/Packer is responsible for packaging completed assemblies, verifying pick lists, preparing required shipping documentation, and ensuring orders are shipped accurately and efficiently. This role supports warehouse and logistics operations while maintaining quality, safety, and productivity standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand and follow company packaging and labeling procedures.
  • Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and related equipment to accurately pick and pack materials from designated storage locations.
  • Package and verify materials in appropriate shipping containers and prepare required labels and shipping documentation.
  • Follow special customer instructions and shipping requirements.
  • Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Use Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to process shipments.
  • Prepare and review domestic and international shipping documentation.
  • Perform computer-based tasks including document printing, label creation, order confirmation, and shipment tracking.
  • Pick, pack, and ship complex orders, including international and hazardous material shipments when required.
  • Conduct physical inventory counts and maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Support warehouse operations and assist other departments as needed.
  • Perform basic logistics and administrative functions.
  • Assist with workload coordination and distribution when necessary.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Support cross-training and temporary assignments across various departments.

Desired Background/Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years of picking, packing, and shipping experience.
  • Experience with international shipping is a plus.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment.
  • Basic computer skills and experience using scanners, printers, and warehouse systems.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift up to 44 lbs. (20 kg).
