Work Schedule: Ability to work both 1st and 2nd shifts and adjust schedule as needed to support business operations.

POSITION OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE

This role plans, assigns, and directs activity within our cold storage facility in a safe and orderly fashion. This role will also be primarily responsible for the selection, training and retention of our warehouse team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:

  • Direct supervision of a team of warehouse employees, including assigning work, setting and attaining performance goals, and managing performance in accordance with organizational policies and operating standards.

  • Lead by example by living the company values of Integrity, Accountability, Transparency, Impact, Humility, and Community.

  • Work and lead others in a fast-paced, cold storage environment.

  • As a leader, you must identify and effectively train underperforming associates in a positive and constructive manner. Conversely, you must possess the ability to recognize and motivate exceptional performers.

  • Cultivate a culture of productivity, belonging and responsibility. Communicate company goals and vision, objectives, and direction to warehouse staff.

  • Manage inventory to protect the customers physical assets by applying consistent procedures and verifying products through various systems or departments, to include monitoring and auditing employee accuracy of receiving and selecting of products.

  • Monitor product integrity by verifying product temperatures and refrigeration operations and ensuring continuity of cold chain; inspect product for damage; and ensure control of rodents and pests in all food storage areas. Maintain facility cleanliness, organization, and proper product handling in accordance with Arcadia’s establish protocols.

  • Protect Arcadia warehouse staff and employees by enforcing proper personal protective equipment (PPE) use; ensuring training and certifications are up to date; monitoring wage/hour law compliance; assuring compliance with OSHA and monitoring compliance with local, state, and Federal food handling regulations.

  • Be a champion/subject matter expert on all GMP’s and Safety Work Rules.

  • Consistently demonstrate the ability to drive results. Supervise the processes associated with the shipping and receiving of products to ensure product integrity, and order filling accuracy to achieve KPI’s and budget through-put.

  • Cultivate Arcadia employees personal and professional development to ensure they are proficient in their current role and supported in their pursuit of future roles.

  • Possess the technical skills of a subject matter expert in Employee Payroll Systems, WMS and Truck Scheduling Systems. Demonstrate the ability to effectively train warehouse employees and new peers within 90 days of hire on all Arcadia systems ensuring you are setting a new hire up for success on the job.

  • Establish an environment of teamwork, employee involvement/empowerment, fairness, and consistency. Promote the Open-Door Philosophy.

  • Operate the facility in compliance with health, safety, and environment regulations which establishes a culture of safety. Ensure work areas and equipment are clean, well-maintained, and safe.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent required. Relevant advanced degree preferred.

  • 4 years warehouse management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS)

  • Strong leadership skills, with emphasis on guiding and developing a team, customer service, communications, and planning.

  • Ability to solve problems and present information effectively to customers, clients, and employees.

  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed.

  • Ability to withstand cold storage temps for extended periods of time (warm gear provided by company).
