Job description

At Encore Fire Protection, we are proud to be the east coast's largest full-service fire protection company, serving over 90,000 customers from Maine to Louisiana. With a team of over 2,200 dedicated employees, we provide innovative, customized fire suppression, fire sprinkler, and fire alarm solutions that protect lives and properties every day.

Our goal is to deliver superior experience to those who trust us to safeguard what matters most. We are passionate about continuous growth, innovation, and maintaining a culture that thrives on success and commitment to safety. Our mission? To be the best fire protection company the industry has ever seen.

As a Warehouse Manager, you will be the person who keeps materials, equipment, and information moving. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, staging, shipping, and inventory management, and you will jump in hands-on to support field operations by driving and assisting with deliveries when needed. This role gives you the chance to lead, organize, and improve how the warehouse runs while staying close to the work.

You will coordinate daily workload, keep the space safe and orderly, and make sure job sites and field teams have what they need to stay on schedule. If you like taking ownership of your area, keeping things organized, and solving practical problems, this role will feel like a good fit.

The warehouse is where every job at Encore quietly begins. As Warehouse Manager, you run the backstage operation that keeps material flowing, trucks loaded, and field teams working instead of waiting on parts. You turn pallets, packing slips, and inventory counts into clean staging, accurate orders, and on-time deliveries that keep projects moving. In this role, you will:

  • Receive, count, and verify incoming shipments against packing lists so quantities and items are accurate
  • Inspect deliveries for damage and clearly document any discrepancies or issues
  • Pick, stage, and prepare orders for delivery to multiple job sites
  • Coordinate logistics for incoming and outgoing shipments to keep materials flowing smoothly
  • Manage inventory using warehouse management software or other digital tools
  • Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe for everyone who works in or passes through the space
  • Assist in developing and refining warehouse procedures and systems to improve consistency and efficiency
  • Perform basic maintenance and general upkeep in and around the warehouse and office
  • Support field teams with deliveries and other warehouse related tasks, including operating company vehicles as needed
  • Take on additional duties as assigned to support overall operational efficiency

  • Three or more years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, distribution, or construction materials environment
  • At least one year of experience in a lead or supervisory role, coordinating people, workflow, or shifts
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to safely operate company vehicles
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks on a regular basis
  • Basic computer skills, including email and familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or similar digital tools
  • Willingness to learn and adopt new warehouse technologies, systems, and processes
  • Comfort using hand tools and general warehouse equipment (for example, pallet jacks or forklifts, if trained)
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in counts, staging, and documentation
  • Clear, practical communication skills and a problem-solving mindset in a fast-paced environment

What Makes You Stand Out

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Operations, or a related field.
  • You have a DOT cylinder requalification certification, or you are ready to obtain it within your first six months.
  • You have experience in fire protection, building services, or another field service-based industry.
  • You are comfortable working with service KPIs and using data to guide decisions and coaching conversations.
  • You have experience working in a private equity-backed environment with defined KPIs, growth targets, and structured reporting.

Salary commensurate with experience with opportunity for a results-driven bonus based on personal output and effectiveness in role. Expected range between $70,000 - $90,000 annually.

At Encore, we’re all about creating a culture where success is celebrated. We recognize that our work makes people’s lives safer, and we reward those who contribute to our growth. Here’s what you can expect:

  • Competitive Salary: Compensation commensurate with your experience, with the opportunity to earn performance-based bonuses tied to your personal effectiveness and contributions to the team.
  • Purpose-Driven Work Environment: We believe in working smarter, not harder. You’ll be part of a culture that values results, and we empower our team to focus on impactful work.
  • Flexible Dress Code: Upon joining, you’ll receive branded Encore swag, and we believe in dressing for the objective, not the occasion. Most days, you can enjoy a casual work environment, but we’ll dress up when the situation calls for it.
  • People-Focused Culture: We know our greatest strength is our people. That’s why we’ve built a culture that encourages experimentation, learning, and improving together. You’ll have the space to share your ideas and help shape a company that is constantly growing.
  • Tools for Success:Access to leading-edge web-based productivity tools.
  • Health and Wellness: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage to keep you and your family healthy.
  • Retirement Planning: Participation in our Fidelity 401(k) plan with a company match, helping you save for your future.
  • Life Insurance: Company-paid life insurance policy of $50,000 to give you peace of mind.
