Job description

For qualified individuals with 3-5 years of experience starting with a base salary of $45,000.00/year + commissions, with an estimated range take home of $90,000.00 - $150,000.00/year including a fixed and variable vehicle reimbursement program.
Summary:
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for identifying new opportunities, qualifying prospects, establishing relationships and building partnerships. By developing high trust relationships, providing outstanding service, bringing new ideas to the table, solving problems and providing industry expertise, In this position it is also imperative that each individual works as ambassadors to the Companys brand, services and values.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Prepare sales action plan and strategy, including scheduling upcoming sales calls in advance for the week; detail the purpose of each sales call, including all relevant information regarding the customer and their position within the organization
  • Conduct joint sales calls with vendors as directed;
  • Present product demonstrations as necessary;
  • Track and timely respond to all customer sales inquiries and concerns and resolve by any means necessary to ensure a high level of customer service satisfaction and customer relationships;
  • Participate in sales and marketing events;
  • Provides education to existing and prospective customers regarding the variety of products and services that Acme provides;
  • Maintain awareness of company pricing, service opportunities and sales guidelines;
  • Take all necessary steps to ensure customer satisfaction and store profitability by proactively identifying and recommending additional items a customer may need and/or promotions that might interest them;
  • Promote surplus, sale, discounted and obsolete inventory to customers for consideration to purchase;
  • Proactively communicate any discovered inventory or pricing discrepancies directly to management;
  • Develop and maintain new and existing product and inventory knowledge by participating in all necessary training, including independent study of product features and benefits;
  • Participate in educational opportunities, including those offered by vendors such as Evergreen and/or other resources.

  • High school degree or equivalent;
  • Minimum of (2) years sales experience, or equivalent education and/or experience within the construction supply/distribution industry;
  • A valid driver's license and eligibility for companys commercial auto insurance standards;

Physical:

Working Conditions:
  • Must function equally well in an office environment, warehouse and construction job site environment;
  • A significant amount of tasks performed at a computer terminal and consistent phone usage with customers and buyers;
  • Must function well in a home office environment with the ability to conduct Life Size video conferencing.
  • Travel throughout company sales region, which depending upon assigned branch, may include Oregon, Washington, California, Nevada, or Arizona. Occasional travel within North America may also be required.
