Job description

The Warehouse Manager plays a critical role ensuring that all warehouse activities are carried out in compliance with Ally Building Solutions policies and vision. This includes leading, training, evaluating, and coaching employees to meet all company and department goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily workflow of the warehouse; schedules and organizes staff to ensure proper staffing of all shifts.
  • Hire and train new warehouse employees.
  • Evaluate, coach and guide employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
  • Ensuring effective and safe use of warehouse equipment, maintenance and organization of warehouse.
  • Ensure efficient warehouse operations through collaboration and coordination with other departments.
  • Guarantee inventory control.
  • Manage cycle counts and research discrepancies.
  • Complete all required management reports.
  • Coordinate warehouse maintenance activities when needed.
  • Research, identify, and present new ideas to improve warehouse operations.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Four to five years of related warehouse supervisory experience required, preferably in a construction related industry.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Outstanding leadership, organizational, multitask and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience with RFMS or similar enterprise software program
  • Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
  • Thorough understanding of applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies.
  • Ability to lift up to fifty pounds at a time, and traverse and access all areas of the warehouse.
