• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews and document client cases meticulously from the initial consultation through to the completion of their treatment journey.
• Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health through standardized assessments and clinical interviews.
• Develop customized intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and various support groups, ensuring all approaches are backed by evidence-based practices.
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, drawing on your therapeutic skills to create a safe and constructive environment for sharing and growth.
• Monitor and document client progress throughout their treatment plans, adjusting therapeutic strategies as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Collaborate effectively with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nursing staff, to ensure holistic care delivery.
• Follow up with psychiatrists and attending physicians regarding hospitalized clients, ensuring continuity of care and clear communication regarding treatment plans.
• Identify barriers to recovery and implement preventative measures to mitigate challenges faced by clients and their families.
• Support family members and primary caregivers in navigating mental health challenges, providing guidance and resources to enhance their understanding and skills.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as a licensed mental health therapist, such as LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Georgia.
• Completion of national examinations such as the NCE or NCMHCE, demonstrating your capability as a mental health professional.
• Proven prior experience as a mental health counselor, showcasing a history of effective client outcomes.
• Proficiency in the use of electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly AVATAR, for accurate case management.
• A thorough understanding of the interplay between physical health, emotional health, and addiction, equipping you to address complex client needs.
• Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices, ensuring adherence to professional standards.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, that foster collaboration and clarity in client interactions.

• Experience in treating co-occurring disorders and complex trauma.
