Job description

VCG is looking for a senior Oracle Cerner Technical Systems Engineer to support a Regional Digital Solutions team, responsible for supporting IT system solutions that deliver the safe and consistent patient care across the organization.
Responsibilities:

- Excellent communicator to team and leadership
- Mentorship to Junior System Engineers
- Ability to provide and update required documentation
- Ability to complete Domain Refresh with or without data scramble
- Ability to provide production and non-production Cerner Back-end Support including:

? Citrix in regard to Cerner (Intermediate level)
? Thick Client Installation and support

? XR Printing

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Health Information Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in systems engineering within large, complex organizations
  • Strong understanding of the Oracle Health / Cerner architecture and data model
  • Strong understanding of core Microsoft technologies including Windows Server and Active Directory
  • Understanding of core networking concepts and troubleshooting skills
  • Understanding of Linux/RHEL (LPI certification an asset)
  • Understanding of CCL and discern rules
  • Understanding of Citrix environments
  • Understanding of Oracle Database administration and WebSphere Application Server configuration
  • Strong understanding of systems development life cycle
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
