Description

How You Will Impact the Big Picture

The Human Resources Manager plays a key role in cultivating a positive, mission-driven workplace culture at EWTN. Partnering closely with leadership in the Washington, DC office and News Division, this role strengthens organizational effectiveness by coaching managers, developing staff capabilities, and supporting strategic HR practices. The HR Manager helps ensure that all people-related processes reflect EWTN's values while supporting employee engagement, performance, and compliance.

What you will do

You will serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, providing hands-on support across performance management, employee relations, talent acquisition, training, and workforce planning. This role partners with department leaders to build strong teams, promote morale, and retain top talent, while supporting compensation processes, HR reporting, and compliance efforts. You will collaborate closely with the broader HR team on benefits, leave administration, and policy implementation, support the operational needs of the Washington, DC office and News Division, and contribute to ongoing HR initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

About you

You bring 5 - 7 years of progressively responsible experience in HR management, with a proven ability to coach leaders, develop staff, and handle employee relations with professionalism and discretion. You have a strong understanding of employment law, recruiting, workforce planning, and HR systems, along with excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Experience in a nonprofit environment and bilingual Spanish skills are helpful but not required. You hold an undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or a related field, with SHRM certification strongly preferred. As a practicing Catholic, you are deeply committed to EWTN's mission and values.

What you'll love about working here

  • We offer a career with purpose! Apply your God-given talents, knowing your contributions help to advance EWTN's mission of sharing the Gospel with the world.
  • Caring environment.  We value the importance of family/life balance and welcome you as an EWTN family member, not just an employee.
  • Worship at work! Freedom to participate in Mass, visit the chapel for prayer or attend an annual retreat.
  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package including Health, Dental, Vision, Life & Disability insurance and Retirement Savings Plan.
  • 11 Paid Holidays and generous Paid Time Off program.
  • Tuition reimbursement for online continuing education and degree programs through our partnership with Catholic International University.
  • Ability to learn alongside legacy employees while bringing new ideas to the growing team!
