Job Description
How You Will Make History Here...
As the Sr. Customer Sales Lead, you will own the development and execution of joint business planning for Walmart to drive volume, profit, and share growth across the Soup & Broth category. This role leads the overall customer strategy for Campbell's soup and broth brands, representing more than $700M in business with Walmart across both brick-and-mortar and ecommerce channels.
This role is hybrid, based out of Rogers, AR, requiring a minimum of three days in the office.
What You Will Do...
  • Use Campbell's Sales Planning & Customer Investment system to create optimal customer plans that drive the Campbell's portfolio across brick-and-mortar and ecommerce.
  • Manage and lead cross-portfolio platforms that support volume, profit, and share growth.
  • Develop and execute trade promotion strategies and tactical plans with Walmart, including higher-ROI activities that drive portfolio scale.
  • Proactively monitor and update the customer's overall business plan, including trade budgets, spending, and volume, to achieve sales objectives versus plan.
  • Use shopper and category management practices to connect consumer and shopper trends to business opportunities.
  • Leverage Shopper Insights, Category Management, and Customer Marketing resources to develop collaborative programs aligned with brand and customer strategies.
  • Conduct post-event analysis to evaluate promotional volume, consumption, profit, and spending results versus plan, and apply learnings to future opportunities.
  • Lead category business reviews focused on business performance, consumer trends, key drivers, and incremental opportunities.
  • Implement Campbell's brand strategies and tactics by partnering closely with Walmart decision makers, including buyers, category managers, and merchandising leaders.
  • Develop accurate monthly forecasts by tracking shipments, consumption data, and inventory changes; proactively identify risks or threats to forecast accuracy.
  • Sell in new items, partner with customer personnel to achieve optimal distribution, and identify profitable opportunities to grow incremental volume.
  • Provide direction to Retail on how to execute customer-specific plans at store level.

Who You Will Work With...
You will build productive working relationships with key Walmart decision makers at multiple levels, including category management, supply chain, merchandising, buyers, and category managers. Internally, you will collaborate with cross-functional partners across Finance, Category Management, Customer Marketing, Integrated Marketing, Sales Strategy, Brand Management, and other World Headquarters teams to deliver customer plans that support Campbell's revenue, profit, and share growth.
What You Bring to the Table... (Must Have)
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 8+ years of CPG industry sales and/or category management experience.
  • Experience supporting Walmart
  • Strong understanding of P&L management, trade, and forecasting.
  • Ability to assess a customer's competitive position, behaviors, and strategies and connect them to Campbell's strategic goals.
  • Experience developing customer investment strategies across trade, customer marketing, and integrated marketing equities.
  • Problem-solving, analytical, interpersonal, negotiation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Category, brand, technical, and supply chain knowledge.

Compensation and Benefits:
The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between
$139,100-$191,300
Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
