Overview 

Position Title: Program Specialist, Consumer Products (Full-time)

Entity: Consumer Products Services Division

Department: CPS

  Location: Bentonville Arkansas

  FLSA: Non-Exempt

Hours Worked: Full-Time Typically, 40 hours per week M-F.

However, must be flexible to meet the needs of the department and complete other projects as assigned.

Position Summary:

The Program Specialist is responsible for... 

  • The Program Specialist is responsible for leading and executing Walmart GM and Fashion program activities across the AME region while serving as a key liaison between Walmart, suppliers, and internal Bureau Veritas teams.
  • Assist with program management and drive program changes while maintaining a strong understanding of Walmart program requirements and priorities.
  • Clearly understand account priorities and initiatives, using structured project planning to ensure successful execution and alignment with Walmart objectives, including expanded departmental and lab approvals.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact (POC) for Walmart US GM and Fashion, providing day-to-day support, issue resolution, and communication, while also acting as the global account POC for WMCA to ensure cross-regional alignment.
  • Monitor program performance across the AME region by monitoring KPIs, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring consistent delivery across internal teams and laboratories in partnership with Asia PSD . Responsible for monthly status reports to Walmart. 
  • Monitor program changes holistically by coordinating with the Asia PSD, technical teams, and all stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and execution.
  • Provide regular internal and client-facing updates, including progress reviews, presentations, and key messaging to maintain transparency and alignment.
  • Oversee critical operational processes including:
    • Walmart Testing Mailbox management - ensuring timely triage, response, and coordination of supplier and client inquiries
    • Retail Link Administration - managing user access, account setup, and compliance with Walmart platform requirements
    • Mill ID Assignment - coordinating supplier onboarding, validating documentation, and ensuring timely processing of Mill ID applications
    • Walmart OSC Account Management for new user approval
    • Walmart Bulletin Distribution
    • Weekly OSC API Upload Audit process
    • Failure disposition escalation process
  • Monitor testing and quality activities by working with labs, suppliers, and retail stakeholders to track product testing, review reports, and manage deviations or failures through root cause analysis and resolution.
  • Continuously simplify and improve processes, tools, and documentation to enhance efficiency and program effectiveness.

Skills & Proficiencies:

  • This role requires regular presence at the Walmart Home Office Regional Location. The individual must demonstrate a high level of professionalism, discretion, and situational awareness, and must be observant and respectful while operating within Walmart's corporate environment.
  • Responsible for reviewing laboratory test reports and articulate findings with respective Walmart Stakeholders, tracking and resolving customer complaints and testing deviations. Deviations will need to be investigated to determine root cause and may require communication with product vendors, manufacturers, brokers, testing labs, and retail client QA/Merchandising/warehouse stakeholders.
  • Attend meetings with the BV lab & retail client, both scheduled and unscheduled.
  • Other Tasks as needed

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree required
  • Minimum of four years working experience in total - with experience in program management in consumer product testing, quality assurance, process/quality engineering or design for manufacturability

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of the above.
