The attorney will combine legal expertise with financial acumen to help cannabis businesses navigate the complex regulatory, tax, and compliance environment while managing their financial operations effectively. The position is a long-term contract opportunity with remote flexibility or can sit on-site in the firm's Atlanta office.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and business-minded Cannabis Industry Finance Attorney to provide legal and strategic guidance to cannabis-related businesses operating in a rapidly evolving regulatory environment. This role combines sophisticated legal counsel with financial insight to support clients and business teams on matters involving cannabis compliance, corporate finance, banking, taxation, licensing, and commercial transactions.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience advising regulated businesses, financial institutions, lenders, investors, or cannabis operators on complex legal and financial matters. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with executive leadership, finance teams, compliance professionals, and outside stakeholders to support business growth while minimizing legal and regulatory risk.
Key Responsibilities
Advise cannabis industry clients and internal stakeholders on federal, state, and local cannabis regulations and compliance obligations.
