Job description

We have an opening for Business Office Manager to manage the business offices at Bozeman Outpatient Surgery Center.   

Bozeman Outpatient Surgery Center is a fast-paced, multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center (ASC).   We believe health and care are inseparable. We focus on offering a high quality, service-oriented environment for our patient’s surgical procedures. Our facility is accredited by The Joint Commission. 

What You Will Do  (Job Summary):

The Business Office Manager provides day-to-day management of the business office staff and will play a vital role in the efficient operation of our healthcare facility. You will oversee and manage the business office operations and revenue cycle functions, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and maintaining the highest standards of patient care. This position offers a unique opportunity for career growth in a dynamic and patient-focused environment.
Some Key Duties Include:  

  • Lead an efficient, successful, highly focused customer service trained business office team, including surgery scheduling, admissions/registration, insurance verification, collections/billing
  • Manage revenue cycle process, including establish and maintain protocols for the charge entry, complete all month end close processes, other financial processes.
  • Assures compliance to industry regulatory standards as well as USPI Business Office standards, policies and procedures.

Required Skills

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a business or HIM related field.
  • 3+ years’ supervisory experience in a medical office setting; hospital business office, surgery center business office; physician’s business office
  • Experience with revenue cycle processes 
  • Proficiency in accounting and ability to use computer automated accounting systems 
  • Experience working with all types of third party payers. (HMO, PPO, Medicare/Medicaid, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrates accountability, integrity, professionalism, openness, receptive to change, creativity and innovative.
