POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Senior Manager of Corporate Planning will support the planning, management, and optimization of Qcells' Residential TPO business by driving operational visibility, financial forecasting, profitability analysis, and strategic planning initiatives. This role serves as a key business partner to leadership, leveraging data-driven insights, KPI management, and cross-functional collaboration with Finance, Operations, Sales, and Business Development teams to improve performance, identify risks and opportunities, and support corporate growth objectives.
The position will also lead strategic initiatives focused on market expansion, process improvement, cost optimization, and new business opportunities within the U.S. residential solar and energy storage market. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and financial acumen, experience managing complex operational data, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment while influencing business decisions across the organization. This role is based on site in San Francisco CA.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead planning, forecasting, performance management, and KPI reporting for the Residential TPO business, including operational modeling, profitability analysis, budgeting, revenue forecasting, margin tracking, cash flow management, and strategic initiative execution.
  • Analyze business performance, market dynamics, customer trends, and competitive landscapes to identify growth opportunities, operational improvements, business risks, and strategic recommendations that support corporate objectives.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Business Development, Operations, Finance, and Executive Leadership to drive data-driven decision-making, improve business performance, and execute strategic priorities across the organization.
  • Develop and execute strategic initiatives focused on market expansion, customer acquisition, geographic growth, product attachment rate improvements (ESS/ACM), cost optimization, process enhancement, and new business opportunities within the residential solar and energy storage market.
  • Monitor and optimize operational and financial performance through business reviews, variance analysis, SG&A management, performance reporting, and executive-level presentations that provide actionable insights and support informed decision-making.
  • Identify and mitigate operational and business risks, proactively escalating critical issues, developing recovery plans, and ensuring alignment between planning, execution, and organizational objectives.
  • Track industry trends, regulatory developments, market conditions, and competitive activity while supporting executive reporting, strategic planning initiatives, and other corporate planning activities as needed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 5-7+ years of experience in corporate planning, business planning, strategic planning, FP&A, operations, or related analytical functions, preferably within residential solar, renewable energy, solar financing, TPO/lease, or adjacent industries.
  • Korean Bilingual is required
  • Strong understanding of business operations, financial modeling, forecasting, profitability analysis, KPI management, and operational performance measurement.
  • Proven experience supporting complex business operations and partnering cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Operations, Product, and Executive Leadership teams to drive strategic initiatives and business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated success in strategic planning, process improvement, cost optimization, performance management, business forecasting, and identifying growth opportunities through data-driven analysis.
  • Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights and executive-level presentations.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial reporting tools; experience analyzing operational, sales, and financial data to support decision-making.
  • Knowledge of the U.S. residential solar market, financing structures, customer acquisition models, and competitive landscape is highly preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% as needed.
