In this role, you will have a chance to be at the center of a strong business (but with opportunities for growth/improvement) within a rapidly changing industry. The Senior Manager, Business Development will play a central role in adding key inorganic programs, products, and potentially newly acquired companies that will determine the near- and long-term success of the Hikma's US business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial modelling: develop financial/valuation models by leveraging industry knowledge, the individual's deep understanding of financial principles, and obtaining detailed inputs from functional teams; create comprehensive business cases and recommendations for senior leadership
  • In-licensing: support identification, evaluation, and execution of product licensing and co-development deals, including financial modelling, market/therapeutic area research, contract negotiation, and technical/IP due diligence
  • M&A: support identification, evaluation, and execution of wholeco and/or portfolio M&A deals by working closely with Hikma Rx and Injectables functional teams and Corporate Development
  • Strategy: quickly become familiar with the Hikma Rx and Injectables businesses as they exists today (strengths, weaknesses) and support implementation of new growth avenues (opportunities) to defend/grow the business in the face of constantly shifting headwinds (threats) and tailwinds; this will include participation in the 5-year business plan process
  • Ad-hoc projects: become a go-to, trusted resource for Hikma Rx, Injectables, and Group executive leadership, maintaining readiness to support ad-hoc, cross-functional, and Group-level projects/initiatives
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field (e.g., Accounting, Economics)
  • 5 years of relevant pharmaceutical industry experience (e.g., Finance, Product/Portfolio Management, Business Development, Strategy)
  • Excellent communication skills; must tailor style/content to needs of audiences across the organization (e.g., Commercial, R&D, IP/Legal, Executive Committee) and represent Hikma in a professional, high-quality manner to external partners
  • Self-motivated; must be resourceful (both internally and via external resources) to advance projects and constantly prioritize based on value/business need
  • Quick learner; ability to digest information from a wide range of sources, oftentimes very esoteric in nature, to 'put the puzzle pieces together' and develop business cases/recommendations
  • Ability to thrive in a constantly-changing, sometimes ambiguous environment
  • Curious and willing to respectfully challenge the status quo/consensus
  • Excel: strong quantitative reasoning and organization with high attention to detail
  • PowerPoint: independently create articulate decks that are both concise/to-the-point, contain all information relevant to a particular project, and are aesthetically pleasing/organized in a thoughtful manner
  • Word: used to a lesser extent, but ability to create well-written, concise memos, notes/meeting minutes, etc. when needed
Compensation

Base Salary: $92,850.00 to $158,450.00 annually. The compensation for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, work location, prior experience and job-related knowledge, relevant skills and expertise, current business needs, and market factors. The Talent Acquisition team can provide more details about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
