The Gist…

The Business Analyst Lead serves as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, program leadership, product owners, development teams, architects, and end users. This role is responsible for leading requirements management, business process analysis, Agile planning, solution validation, user acceptance testing, and stakeholder engagement activities supporting large scale IT modernization and DevSecOps initiatives. The individual ensures alignment between business objectives and technical solutions while facilitating successful delivery of mission critical capabilities.


  • Lead requirements elicitation activities through stakeholder interviews, workshops, document analysis, process mapping sessions, and working groups.
  • Analyze, document, validate, and manage business, functional, technical, and operational requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop business process models, workflow diagrams, use cases, user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications supporting solution delivery.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, user story development, and stakeholder demonstrations.
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, DevSecOps teams, data teams, and product owners to ensure alignment between business requirements and technical solutions.
  • Support release planning, change management, business readiness, and organizational adoption activities.
  • Lead user acceptance testing efforts, develop test scenarios, validate requirements traceability, and ensure delivered solutions meet business needs.
  • Analyze business operations and identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, modernization, and operational efficiencies.
  • Develop executive briefings, reports, presentations, decision support materials, and project documentation.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to junior business analysts and project team members.
  • Support governance activities, risk identification, issue management, and stakeholder communications.

  • Bachelor Degree and 10 years of experience serving as a Business Analyst supporting large scale technology initiatives
  • Min 5 years of experience supporting Agile and Scrum delivery environments.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience supporting federal government agencies or highly regulated industries.
  • Experience supporting large scale IT modernization, cloud transformation, software development, DevSecOps, and enterprise technology initiatives.
  • Experience utilizing Jira, Confluence, and Mural to manage requirements, Agile backlogs, user stories, stakeholder collaboration, and project documentation.
  • Experience eliciting, documenting, analyzing, and validating business and technical requirements through interviews, workshops, process mapping, and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Experience developing business process models, workflow diagrams, use cases, user stories, functional specifications, requirements traceability matrices, and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience supporting testing and validation activities utilizing Jira, Selenium, Playwright, SoapUI, Insomnia, TestCafe, or similar testing and requirements validation tools.
  • Experience supporting projects utilizing AWS cloud services, DevSecOps methodologies, CI/CD practices, GitHub Enterprise, Harness, and modern software delivery frameworks.
  • Experience supporting data driven initiatives utilizing Tableau, Databricks, Splunk dashboards, SQL based reporting solutions, and business intelligence platforms.
  • Experience supporting API, integration, and enterprise modernization initiatives involving Apigee, MuleSoft, Kafka, and enterprise application ecosystems.
  • Strong analytical, communication, facilitation, documentation, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with executives, business stakeholders, technical teams, and end users while supporting complex enterprise initiatives.
