Part-Time / Event-Based

White House Banquets & Event Center is looking for friendly, professional, and service-minded Banquet Servers to join our event team. We host weddings, quinceañeras, private celebrations, corporate events, and other milestone occasions in a beautiful, all-inclusive venue setting.

Our team takes pride in creating smooth, memorable events for our clients and their guests. We are looking for dependable individuals who enjoy hospitality, work well with a team, and understand the importance of excellent service during once-in-a-lifetime celebrations.

Position Overview

As a Banquet Server, you will help deliver a polished and welcoming guest experience from event setup through service and breakdown. This role is ideal for someone who is energetic, attentive, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced event environment. You will work closely with event managers, coordinators, captains, kitchen staff, bartenders, and fellow servers to ensure each event runs smoothly and guests feel well taken care of.

Responsibilities

  • Set up banquet spaces according to event layouts, including tables, chairs, linens, place settings, glassware, flatware, and service areas

  • Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, courteous service throughout the event

  • Serve plated meals, buffet service, beverages, desserts, and other menu items as needed

  • Clear plates, glassware, and service items efficiently and professionally

  • Assist with cake cutting, dessert service, coffee service, and other event service needs

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in guest areas, service stations, and back-of-house areas

  • Respond to guest requests with professionalism and a positive attitude

  • Support the event timeline by following direction from event managers and captains

  • Assist with event breakdown, cleaning, and resetting spaces after events

  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and venue service standards at all times

Ideal Candidate

Qualifications

  • Prior banquet, restaurant, catering, or hospitality experience preferred, but not required

  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as event schedules require

  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, carry, bend, and move throughout the duration of an event

  • Ability to lift and carry trays, bus tubs, banquet equipment, and event supplies as needed

  • Professional appearance and communication skills

  • Team-oriented mindset and willingness to help wherever needed

  • Food Handler Card preferred or willingness to obtain one
