Job description

Southern Botanical is seeking multiple Landscape Enhancements Crew Leaders who can deliver exceptional customer service and lead their teams to success. This role involves planning and organizing daily work, supervising and training crews, ensuring proper equipment use and maintenance, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Crew Leaders will oversee site operations, interpret planting diagrams and blueprints, manage daily paperwork, and ensure preparation for the next day’s work is complete.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a crew to complete residential landscape enhancement projects on time and to company standards
  • Interpret and execute landscape plans, designs, and client specifications
  • Oversee the installation of softscape (plants, sod, mulch) and hardscape (stonework, pavers, edging) features
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment and tools
  • Monitor project progress and quality, making adjustments as needed to meet project goals
  • Train and mentor crew members to promote skill development and safe work practices
  • Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and project managers regarding project status and any site issues
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety guidelines and protocols
  • Complete necessary paperwork, including timesheets, project updates, and material tracking
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in landscape enhancements or landscape construction, with at least 1 year in a leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of landscape installation techniques, plant material, irrigation basics, and hardscape construction
  • Ability to read and interpret landscape plans and blueprints
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record (required)
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
