Job description

SENIOR INTERIOR DESIGNER / SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER

Elms Interior Design is a vibrant interior design firm focused on high-end residential design. We are looking for a full-time Senior Interior Designer to join our team in the role of Senior Project Manager!


The ideal applicant must have 5+ years of work experience managing all phases of interior design development from inception to installation. The knowledge to simultaneously manage multiple projects of varying size and complexity is essential. This senior position has high client, contractor and vendor interaction while working collaboratively with the Principal and design team. Qualified candidates must possess advanced project management skills, be resourceful, detail oriented with a highly refined design sense, enthusiastic interpersonal communication skills, a client-centered focus and the ability to multi-task.


Responsibilities Include:

-The Senior Project Manager will report directly to the Principal Designer and will be
responsible for managing other staff members
-Manage multiple residential projects from conception to completion
-Experience with and production of construction and design drawing sets
-Contribute to the development of design concepts, color, lighting and all furnishings
-Knowledge of all design processes, including FF&E, specifications, finish and material selections etc.
-Create and maintain schedules, budget spreadsheets, proposals and purchase orders
-Review contractor/vendor numbers with precise order tracking and installation scheduling
-Construction management
-Coordination of multiple installations of fixtures and furnishings for projects of varying
complexity.


The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications and skills to be considered:
- A minimum of 5+ years work experience and prior employment in high end residential
interior design
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Interior Design or Architecture
- A high level of proficiency with AutoCAD, Sketchup, Photoshop, InDesign, Design Manager and Microsoft Office
