This role requires strong control acumen, strategic thinking, structured execution, and the ability to translate complex emerging technologies and business models into clear risk and control solutions.

Job responsibilities

Develop a deep understanding of Digital Assets and Blockchain Solutions initiatives to serve as a trusted advisor who helps identify, assess, and manage operational risk.

Support a proactive risk and control culture that leverages proven evaluation strategies and sound change management protocols across emerging business capabilities.

Partner with business, product, technology, operations, risk, legal, and compliance stakeholders to evaluate new digital asset opportunities and document associated processes, risks, controls, and governance requirements.

Develop the enhancement of risk management frameworks, control inventories, process maps, monitoring routines, and governance practices supporting digital asset initiatives.

Define KPIs/KRIs, control metrics, and governance routines; review and analyze relevant data to support business programs, strategic initiatives, and risk decisions.

Provide leadership support for end-to-end operational risk management, including control breaks, issue triage, remediation planning, and driving execution to closure to reduce financial loss, customer complaints, regulatory exposure, and reputational risk.

Manage execution rigor by maintaining project plans, action logs, and risk/issue trackers; coordinate dependencies across partner teams and drive deliverables to completion.

Produce clear, stakeholder-ready outputs, including risk assessments, governance materials, remediation and implementation plans, status updates, and executive presentations that summarize options, risks, tradeoffs, and recommended solutions.

Engage with control colleagues across the firm and partner with business, operations management, legal, compliance, risk, audit, regulators, and technology control functions.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.

Experience supporting Digital Assets, Blockchain Solutions, tokenization, distributed ledger technologies, stablecoins, and emerging financial infrastructure capabilities.

7+ years of financial services experience in risk management, control management, audit, quality assurance, or compliance.

Proficient knowledge of control and risk management concepts, with the ability to identify and assess operational risks and support the design of effective controls in conjunction with business partners.

Experience evaluating complex business initiatives and supporting governance, risk assessment, and control implementation activities.

Strong execution management skills (project plans, action logs, dependency management, risk/issue tracking) and ability to drive outcomes in complex environments.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create stakeholder-ready materials and executive-level presentations.

An accomplished problem-solver able to evaluate complex situations across multiple perspectives to identify robust and sustainable solutions.

Proven stakeholder management experience, including influencing across cross-functional teams.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Experience supporting controls or operational risk in digital assets domains (e.g., wires, settlement, blockchain-based settlement, stablecoin-related processes).

Capability to leverage AI/ML and automation to streamline controls testing/monitoring, improve issue detection, and enhance operational efficiency.

Exceptional influence skills for engaging stakeholders and driving organizational change.

Exceptional communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to the needs of different stakeholders.
