What is the opportunity?

We are seeking a Specialty Teams Dentistry Program Manager to join our World Medical Mission team in North Wilkesboro, NC. Through humanitarian work, the goal and purpose of Samaritan's Purse are to help people in Jesus' name and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
In the role of Specialty Teams Dentistry Program Manager, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ
  • Lead the ministry and dental care strategy for Specialty Teams, ensuring every campaign actively engages beneficiaries through Gospel presentation, Bible distribution, prayer, discipleship, and connection to the local church where possible, while promoting and safeguarding the welfare of beneficiaries.
  • Provide leadership and operational direction to campaign teams, partner hospital staff, local volunteers, and international volunteers, ensuring they have the resources, tools, budget, transportation, visas, and logistical support needed for effective ministry and quality dental care.
  • Develop and strengthen global partnerships with host medical facilities and Ministries of Health, securing necessary agreements, permissions, licensing, and relationships while identifying opportunities for continued program growth and global Gospel impact.
  • Oversee program resources and quality implementation, including staffing, operational and capital budgets, dental equipment, supplies, pharmaceuticals, customs requirements, and standardized policies, procedures, orientation materials, and equipment lists.
  • Recruit and equip spiritually mature dental volunteers by networking with dentists, hygienists, and dental assistants and selecting individuals who demonstrate both professional excellence and spiritual integrity to serve Samaritan's Purse beneficiaries around the world.
  • Other duties as assigned

What are the qualifications?
Serve with Excellence
As a qualified candidate, you will have the following skills and experience:
  • Education/Experience: Active dental professional (Dentist, Dental Hygienist, or Dental Assistant) with five (5) to seven (7) years of related dental experience. Twelve credit hours of college-level Biblical studies is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to provide strategic program direction with a strong focus on evangelism while spiritually leading, managing, and motivating diverse teams in challenging environments.
  • Ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects across geographic locations, ensuring programs and campaigns remain spiritually focused, culturally appropriate, and responsive to local needs.
  • Ability to professionally represent World Medical Mission/Samaritan's Purse with visiting specialty teams, local hospital personnel and administrators, other NGOs, and government officials, while effectively communicating with senior leaders, public groups, and boards.
  • Ability to analyze scientific, technical, financial, and legal information; define problems, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, interpret technical information, and communicate findings clearly through written and oral presentations.
