Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position will be responsible for initiating and leading continuous improvement projects and teams which benefit all departments of the site. They will promote Lean culture and deploy Fareva’s continuous improvement standards. Improvements involve, but are not limited to, safety, quality control, work efficiency, operational output, cost savings, and cleanliness. These improvements will be constructed utilizing 6 Sigma and 5S methodology to define processes and set standards for any department of the site.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage continuous improvement projects both individual and collective utilizing cross-functional team members
  • Define processes, activities, organizational plans, and KPIs to measure and set standards for site improvement opportunities.
  • Build and monitor the site's continuous improvement roadmap (OEE and productivity)
  • Lead a monthly review of roadmaps (performance, projects, action plan, etc.)
  • Ensure the updating and animation of the saving tracker
  • Become an expert in all the methods and tools of the Fareva Excellence System
  • Ensure that all employees involved are trained in FES standards and use methodologies and tools correctly (steering committee & executive committee members +all team members).
  • Lead complex projects on Gemba and verify the achievement of results.
  • Ensure proactive sharing with other plants in OPEX group routines
  • Develop a team of pilots and support them
  • Regularly present project status to senior management and/or corporate team.
  • Analyzes process and production deviations to determine a feasible and long-term solution.
  • Strategizes projects to align with long-term business goals.
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree (technical degree preferred).
  • 2-7 years of related experience.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think outside of the box and challenge the status quo.
  • Must be able to make fact-based decisions and think strategically.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Hands on approach to problem solving.
  • Willingness to work hands-on with front line associates.
  • Excellent Project Management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and take on multiple projects at one time.
  • Skills required to work effectively in leading a team.
