Job Title: Barista, Higher Education Dining
Location: Roberts Wesleyan University, Rochester NY
We are looking for a Barista to work at 'We Proudly Serve Starbucks' to prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including various types of coffee and tea. Barista responsibilities include educating customers on our drinks menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, up-selling special items and taking orders. To be successful in this role, you should have customer service skills and knowledge of how brewing equipment operates. You should be able to work various shifts. Ultimately, you'll ensure an excellent drinking experience for our guests.

We are seeking energetic team players with a winning attitude that deliver exceptional customer service to all guests in a fun and busy college setting.
Requirements:
• Previous Barista experience required
• Knowledge of how brewing equipment operates.
• SERV Safe Certification
• Ability to bend, twist, squat, reach, crawl, push/pull, and stand without limitation and for long periods of time
• Ability to carry 50lbs on a consistent basis
• Reading, writing, oral proficiency, and basic math skills
Responsibilities:
• This position is responsible for preparing, stocking, and maintaining your station continuously throughout the day
• Greets guests determining their coffee interests and needs
• Educates guests by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu and answering questions
• Preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques along with serving pastries, sandwiches, and other food items
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations
• Use of cash register, accurate cash handling and payment processing
• Work as a team with others, train new team members, and cross train in other departments
• Complete weekly inventory and order list
• Clean and maintain all equipment continuously
• Perform any other tasks as requested by Operations Manager
