Your role as Coordinator, Tours & Group Event Sales: 

This role will assist with sales across all types of ballpark tours as well as sales and facilitation of group spaces during Padres games, and other ticketed events at Petco Park or other venues managed by Finest Collective.  Further, this role shall be responsible for coordinating and conducting site visits with prospects, proposing various hospitality elements, working through ticketing builds of key events, managing the Hotel Concierge Connect program, and assisting with the facilitation of opportunities identified with targeted groups within the hospitality industry.  Administrative duties will be needed with this role as this person will work closely with other internal departments to align timelines, deliverables, and event objectives. This role requires excellent organizational skills, a strong attention to detail, a general understanding of events and the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.

All the responsibilities we trust you with: 

  • Assist with site visits, client communications, and proposals for group spaces during Padres games, and other ticketed events at Petco Park or other venues managed by Finest Collective.
  • Provide sales support by drafting contracts, updating invoices and collecting payments in a timely manner.
  • Enhance the client’s experience by proactively identifying opportunities to enhance their orders.
  • Act as main point of contact for select ticketed event clients.  Communicate event details with appropriate internal parties, fulfill specific event requests in advance of event start, assist with client arrival and conduct pre-event site visits when necessary. 
  • Ensure seamless coordination of sold group spaces across necessary departments including ticketing, security, guest experience, ballpark operations, and food and beverage.
  • Manage deliverables of tickets, catering orders, and arrivals to ensure a positive client experience on event day.
  • Track and report attendance, provide post-event debriefs, gain post-event feedback and provide thank you follow-up
  • Manage the Hotel Concierge Connect program specific to leisure travel.
  • Work with the Marketing and Creative teams on sales collateral support.  Maintain digital files with current photos and venue information.
  • Actively research opportunities and market trends.
  • Maintain a network of event professionals.
  • Support Finest Experiences with coordination of buyer communications and execution of specific plans.
  • Create content and post live on Finest social handles. 
  • Assist Petco Park Tours including but not limited to ticketing, guest check-in, coordinating private tours, event orders and production notes  
  • Communicate internal and external events, provide calendar updates and ballpark limitations
  • Detail oriented, ability to multitask, previous event experience a plus  
  • Represents the Club in a positive and professional manner at all times
  • Other duties as assigned

Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most:  

  • Proficient computer skills including experience with MS Office products such as Word, Excel, Outlook, CRM, etc., and ability to learn and master new software programs  
  • Possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and effectively work well with others in a collaborative, respectful manner   
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills with capacity to handle high volumes of detailed work, multi-task and manage projects on strict deadlines  
  • Maintain professional demeanor with a high degree of discretion, integrity, and accountability  
  • Maintain consistent, punctual, and have reliable attendance 
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus  

You will be required to meet the following:  

  • Must be at least 18 years of age by the start of employment  
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent. Some college preferred  
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in relevant fields  
  • Able to work during Padres home games and other special events as needed, which will include weekends, holidays, and evenings  
  • Minimum physical requirements: able to travel to and gain access to various areas of the ballpark for prolonged periods of time during games and events; able to lift and transport up to 25 pounds  
  • As a condition of employment, you must successfully complete all post-offer, pre-employment requirements, including but not limited to a background check 

Pay and additional compensation:  

Per the California pay transparency law, the base hourly rate for this full-time position is $26-$30. Eligible overtime, as applicable. As a candidate for this position, your pay and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, job-related skills and any other factors the San Diego Padres considers relevant to the hiring decision for this position.
