Job description

Dog Haus Biergarten — General Manager

Dog Haus Biergarten isn't your average restaurant gig. We serve gourmet hot dogs, elevated sausages, burgers, chicken, and plant-based options alongside our renowned Bad-Ass Breakfast Burrito concept — all backed by a full bar featuring Haus cocktails and craft beer in a Biergarten environment. We take the operation behind it just as seriously as the food in front of it.

We're a locally and family-owned multi-unit franchise group growing in the Valley, and we're looking for an experienced General Manager who leads with accountability, runs a tight ship, and actually wants to be part of something being built — not just maintained.

Dog Haus has been named to Fast Casual's Top 10 Movers and Shakers list since 2020 and is a Franchise Times Top Brand to Buy. Our Arizona franchise group has earned Operator of the Year, Marketer of the Year, and Business Leader of the Year recognition — and we're just getting started in the Valley.

What you'll own

  • You'll run the full operation of your location with direct support from our District Manager. That means:
  • Recruiting, developing, and leading your team
  • Labor and COGs performance — you're accountable to the numbers
  • Inventory management and ordering
  • P&L oversight and budget management
  • Forecasting and scheduling
  • Health, safety, and compliance standards
  • Customer experience and conflict resolution

What we offer

  • $60,000 – $70,000+ annually, commensurate with experience
  • Structured schedule: five tens — while most restaurant managers are grinding 65+ hour weeks, our GMs are building and leading the team that runs the floor. We believe in leaders of leaders, not managers doing every shift solo.
  • You'll be hands-on during peak periods — this isn't a suit-and-spreadsheet role — but you'll have AGMs and/or shift leads under you to develop and rely on
  • Health insurance
  • Paid time off — and we actually mean it. We have high standards and we expect a lot from our GMs, but we believe in giving our team the tools, support, and rest they need to perform at that level long-term. Burning people out isn't a strategy.
  • Growth opportunity within an actively expanding franchise group
  • Tenured managers are eligible for performance-based incentive compensation
  • Direct reporting relationship with our District Manager, and ownership that has actually worked in restaurants — we're not absentee investors. When you have a problem, the people above you have lived it.

What we're looking for

  • Proven restaurant management experience in a high-volume environment
  • Strong leadership and team development track record
  • Comfort with P&L, labor management, and operational metrics
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Full availability required — our GMs work better shifts by design, but you're responsible for your location 24/7. Evenings and weekends aren't optional, they're part of owning the role.

Bonus points if you bring:

  • Experience with third-party delivery platforms
  • Bar management or craft beer knowledge
  • Local area marketing or social media experience
  • New restaurant opening experience

Join #TheAbsoluteWurst team. It's a real job, a real culture, and a real opportunity to grow with a brand that's just getting started in the Valley.

Dog Haus is a craft casual hot dog concept known for its gourmet hot dogs, sausages, burgers and one Bad Mutha Clucka. Founded by longtime friends Hagop Giragossian, Quasim Riaz and André Vener, the first Dog Haus opened in Pasadena, California in 2010. Dog Haus has garnered critical acclaim for its signature all beef dogs and hand-crafted sausages with no added nitrates, 100% Black Angus beef burgers, and a fried chicken sandwich – all of which are made with hormone- and antibiotic-free meat and served on grilled King’s Hawaiian rolls. With the brand’s mission to sustainably feed everyone who walks through their doors, Dog Haus also offers plant-based burger and sausage proteins. To chase it down, guests can select craft beers from a tap list emphasizing local favorites or any of our specialty Haus Cocktails and finish their meals on a sweet note with premium shakes. As a brand who gives back, Dog Haus established an ongoing partnership with No Kid Hungry to help end childhood hunger. Dog Haus currently has 40+ locations nationwide, and 20+ in development.
This is a locally/family owned and operated location with expansion plans in the East Valley. For up-to-date location and brand information, visit doghaus.com or find us on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram @DogHausDogs or our local IG's @doghaus_santanvillage or @doghaus_chandler
