Our client, a leading construction general contractor in Tampa, FL, is seeking a highly skilled professional to lead key aviation infrastructure projects that enhance airport operations and traveler experience.

Our client is a recognized leader in aviation infrastructure, specializing in constructing and renovating airport terminals, runways, and support facilities. With a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and sustainability, the firm is at the forefront of aviation construction, delivering projects that keep airports running smoothly and travelers safe. They are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join their team and drive complex aviation construction projects to success.
Industry Overview:
Aviation stream projects are intricate, requiring precise coordination to meet tight timelines while ensuring minimal disruption to airport operations. These projects involve the development of runways, terminals, and air traffic control facilities, all while adhering to stringent safety and regulatory standards. As the Senior Project Manager, you will oversee the planning and execution of these critical builds, ensuring that each project supports efficient airport operations and enhances the traveler experience.
Responsibilities of Sr. Project Manager:
  • Project Oversight: Manage aviation construction projects from conception to completion.
  • Team Leadership: Coordinate architects, engineers, contractors, and airport authorities.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets, ensuring cost control throughout the project.
  • Client Communication: Maintain strong communication with airport stakeholders, providing updates and addressing concerns.
  • Compliance: Ensure all construction activities meet FAA regulations and safety standards.
    Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience managing aviation or large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of FAA regulations, safety protocols, and airport operations.
  • Proven experience managing complex budgets, schedules, and project teams.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred. PMP certification is a plus.
