Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, allowing you the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own space while still engaging meaningfully with clients via our telehealth platform. Our practice utilizes cutting-edge electronic health record systems, like AVATAR, to maintain documentation efficiently and securely. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial mental health assessments and evaluations to gauge clients' psychological state and needs.
• Create comprehensive treatment plans based on client assessments, incorporating individualized approaches for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that support emotional healing and personal development.
• Track client progress regularly to adapt treatment plans as necessary and ensure clients are meeting their therapeutic goals.
• Work collaboratively with a network of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other mental health specialists to provide coordinated care.
• Follow up on clients who may require hospitalization, ensuring seamless communication with attending medical professionals for continuity of care.
• Guide family members and primary caregivers on strategies to manage their loved ones’ mental health challenges.
• Document all client interactions and treatment details meticulously in compliance with best practices and regulatory requirements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily involve supporting a diverse clientele with varying mental health needs, ranging from individuals experiencing anxiety and depression to those facing more complex issues such as addiction disorders. Each client presents a unique set of challenges, and your expertise will be essential in tailoring interventions that optimize their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C in Maryland is mandatory for this role.
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) is required.
• Strong proficiency in managing electronic health records, specifically utilizing software like AVATAR.
• Well-versed in managing a diverse range of mental health concerns, including an awareness of underlying physiological conditions.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in a mental health counseling role is strongly preferred.
• Experience working with clients diagnosed with substance use disorders is a plus.
• Familiarity with guidelines set forth by organizations such as the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) is advantageous.
• A robust understanding of the implications of psychotropic medications and their effects on client wellness is beneficial.
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport with clients, showcasing exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, reflective of your experience and expertise.
