Position Overview We are looking for a highly skilled Quality Assurance QA Engineer with extensive experience in manual and automation testing coupled with a solid understanding of Business Systems Analysis BSA principles The QA Engineer will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products as well as contributing to the analysis and documentation of business requirements The ideal candidate should have at least 6 years of combined experience in QA and BSA roles
Responsibilities
Develop and execute manual and automated test plans test cases and test scripts to thoroughly test software applications and systems
Perform functional regression integration and acceptance testing to identify defects and ensure software quality
Utilize automation tools and frameworks eg Selenium Appium to streamline testing processes and increase test coverage
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather analyze and document business requirements user stories and acceptance criteria
Translate business requirements into clear and comprehensive technical specifications for development teams
Conduct exploratory testing and adhoc testing to identify edge cases and potential issues
Document and track defects using issue tracking systems and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning daily standups and sprint reviews providing input on testing efforts and progress
Provide clear and concise feedback to stakeholders on the quality of software releases including risk assessment and recommendations for improvements
Collaborate with developers and other QA team members to ensure comprehensive test coverage and effective test strategies
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Business Administration or related field
Minimum of 6 years of combined experience in Quality Assurance manual and automation testing and Business Systems Analysis roles
Strong understanding of software QA methodologies principles and best practices
Proficiency in manual testing techniques and methodologies as well as experience in developing and maintaining automated test suites
Handson experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium Appium or similar
Solid understanding of Business Systems Analysis principles including requirements gathering analysis and documentation
Experience translating business requirements into technical specifications and user stories
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies including Scrum or Kanban
Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with a keen attention to detail
