Job description

McCandless Truck Center - Aurora is seeking a skilled and motivated Body Shop Manager to lead our truck dealership's body shop operations in Aurora, CO. This role requires a hands-on leader who can oversee the daily activities of the body shop, ensure quality workmanship, and maintain excellent customer service standards.
Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of the body shop including staff supervision, scheduling, and workflow management.
  • Ensure all repair work meets company and industry standards for quality and safety.
  • Coordinate with insurance companies, customers, and dealership staff to streamline repair processes.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment adhering to environmental and safety regulations.
  • Monitor shop performance metrics and implement continuous improvement strategies.
  • Recruit, train, and develop a skilled team of body shop technicians and support staff.
  • Manage inventory and order materials and parts as needed.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in managing a body shop, preferably within a truck dealership or related automotive environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent understanding of vehicle structural repair, paint application, and refinishing processes.
  • Ability to work with insurance adjusters and handle customer relations professionally.
  • Good organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of industry safety and environmental regulations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in auto body repair is a plus.
