ServiceNow ITAM & CMDB Developer
We are seeking a detail-oriented CMDB & IT Asset Management Business Analyst to support the governance, operational compliance, lifecycle management, and data quality of our ServiceNow CMDB and IT Asset Management (ITAM) repositories.
This role serves as a critical liaison between IT Infrastructure, Asset Management, Procurement, Finance, and Service Management teams to ensure asset records, configuration data, and lifecycle information remain accurate, complete, and aligned with organizational standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing data, identifying gaps, producing operational reports, driving remediation efforts, and providing actionable insights to improve CMDB and asset management maturity.
Key Responsibilities
CMDB Governance & Data Management
• Monitor and maintain CMDB data quality, completeness, and compliance.
• Analyze Configuration Item (CI) relationships and data integrity issues.
• Identify and track orphaned, duplicate, stale, or inaccurate records.
• Support CMDB governance processes and compliance initiatives.
• Collaborate with technical teams to remediate CMDB discrepancies.
IT Asset Management (ITAM)
• Track hardware and software assets throughout their lifecycle.
• Reconcile asset inventories against procurement and financial records.
• Identify asset lifecycle gaps, aging assets, and compliance risks.
• Support asset audits and inventory validation activities.
• Partner with procurement and asset owners to resolve data inconsistencies.
Business Analysis & Reporting
• Develop operational dashboards and lifecycle reporting.
• Analyze trends, exceptions, and KPIs related to CMDB and ITAM performance.
• Generate executive-level reports and recommendations.
• Create data-driven insights to support decision-making and governance reviews.
• Document business requirements and improvement opportunities.
Stakeholder Management
• Work closely with Infrastructure, Service Management, Procurement, Finance, and Vendor Management teams.
• Facilitate discussions to resolve process gaps and data quality issues.
• Coordinate remediation activities and track action items to closure.
• Support governance meetings and provide status updates on key initiatives.
Process Improvement
• Identify opportunities to improve CMDB and ITAM processes.
• Assist in defining governance controls and operational standards.
• Recommend automation opportunities to improve data accuracy and efficiency.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within ServiceNow CMDB and ITAM functions.
