Job description

Shift: 10:00am - 6:30pm
Pay: $20/hr - < DOE
The Turf Distribution Service Professional plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of artificial turf orders and deliveries. This position is responsible for safely and efficiently operating turf-cutting machinery, coordinating logistics, and supporting branch operations. Success in this role means consistently delivering high-quality service to internal teams and customers while supporting the Branch Manager's goals and the company's overall objectives.
Turf Distribution Service Professionals support Branch, Warehouse, and Account Managers by performing the tasks and activities necessary for successful artificial turf orders and deliveries. The role also includes completing assigned duties in support of annual business plans established by the Branch, Region, and Division.
Requirements
  • Champion Ewing's culture and values in all day-to-day business activities.
  • Communicate operational and customer service issues promptly to the Branch Manager.
  • Execute the branch's annual operating plan in alignment with Branch or Warehouse Manager direction and company strategy.
  • Safely and efficiently operate turf-cutting machinery.
  • Lift and handle materials weighing 50-70 lbs.
  • Perform routine maintenance on turf-cutting equipment and report malfunctions or concerns as needed.
  • Accurately clock in and out using the company payroll system in compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations.
  • Execute precision turf cutting to meet customer order specifications.
  • Learn and utilize company tools, systems, technology, software, and email platforms in accordance with company policy.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and comply with all state and federal safety standards.
  • Collaborate with branch teams, sales staff, landscape contractor customers, and supervisors to coordinate cutting schedules, deliveries, and dispatch.
  • Deliver superior customer service at all times.
  • Monitor the condition and quality of artificial turf inventory and report defects or quality concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records related to turf cutting schedules, equipment usage, and inventory observations.
  • Conduct pre-operational equipment inspections prior to use.
  • Place artificial turf purchase orders in collaboration with Regional and Market Managers.
  • Receive and manage inbound artificial turf inventory from vendors.
  • Operate a forklift to load and unload turf rolls onto warehouse racking and delivery trucks.
  • Drive Isuzu NPR and Isuzu FTR vehicles to deliver artificial turf as needed.
  • Coordinate and, at times, perform turf deliveries.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and professionalism in the turf cutting and warehouse areas.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including operating company vehicles when required.
