Job Summary:
Webster Bank is a leading commercial bank founded in 1935, focused on helping clients achieve their financial goals. The MD Product Owner Banking System will lead the development and enhancement of the bank's commercial online application, ensuring alignment with business objectives and effective vendor management.
Responsibilities:
• Lead a commercial online application for the bank and participate in all aspects of the application – enhancements, migration, upgrades, new product configurations, new product implementations etc.
• Manages vendor relationships to ensure compliance with agreed upon SLA Also, understand the vendor roadmap, and accordingly plan the initiatives with-in bank including budget, app support, controls, access management, etc. Leads design, build and test planning phases for medium to large scope enhancements and projects.
• Works with Manager for resource and systems capacity planning and estimation efforts for the applications development team to which assigned. Participates in budgeting exercise for the department.
• Lead both Run and Change side of the commercial online application.
• Use comparative analysis techniques to evaluate and recommend overall IT solutions for client/organization. Provide consulting services to internal business groups and peers on process improvement projects designed to improve business and IT results.
• Leads team in the requirements analysis activities for the projects to which they are assigned.
• Customer Centricity and understanding customer needs -- As the internal representative (Voice) of the customer, continually leverage market research and trends to be able to provide best customer value.
• Coordinates production releases with internal and external partners. Manages associated risks effectively by producing appropriate risk mitigation plans.
• Provides consistent, accurate and timely updates to team members and management as to the status and issues surrounding projects and tasks.
• Interacts with IT and PMO Senior Management on application level as well enterprise wide project planning and execution. Creates and tracks project plans as necessary.
• Responsible for satisfactory internal and external audits of systems by ensuring compliance with Bank's policies such as IT Governance, Info Security and more.
• Reviews and generates all the necessary documentation
• May utilize requirement management tools.
• Represents the application team in Change Control meetings.
• Analyzes impacts and shares information between the team and Change Control Board meetings as necessary.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Knowledge and understanding of information reporting and digital access channels (e.g. web, mobile, file delivery, SWIFT and API) is required.
• Excellent and proven interpersonal skills to include: verbal, written and technical communication skills.
• Skilled problem solver that is very detail oriented.
• Working knowledge of cash and treasury management services is a must for this role.
• Strong knowledge of programming and software development practice.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a directly related field.
• 10+ years of experience in Product and IT Application management space, with the sound knowledge of information reporting and digital/online channel for commercial clients.
• 10-11 years of complex software development experience, 5 of which were in a supervisory capacity required.
• 5-7 years experience managing teams supporting their assigned business domain required.
Preferred:
• Ability to lead the product enhancements, data migrations, new product implementations in agile way will be a plus.
