Sr Application Development Project Manager - Hybrid

3 days a week onsite in Pittsburgh PA, In-person interview, local candidates preferred


One more role, we need a strong Project Manager for a University managing application development team.


We need to identify strong local Pittsburgh PM candidates who can support a hybrid onsite model. The ideal profile should include strong project management experience in application development and/or modernization programs, stakeholder coordination, requirements management, delivery tracking, risk/dependency management, and comfort working in a complex university, healthcare, research, or enterprise environment.



POSITION GOAL
Manage key technology projects with the goal of delivering each within scope, on time, and within budget.


You are asenior Project Manager with12 – 22 years’ experience and also the following experience:-
  1. 5 – 10 years in SW development using .NET, Microservices
  2. 4- 6 years in Microsoft Azure (with some Azure certification)
  3. Good experience in MS SQL server along with .NET/C# backend
  4. 3-5 years in Project / Program Management
  5. Worked in onsite – offshore model in onsite for 3-5 years
  6. Communication skills – excellent
  7. Are used to working with 6 – 7 client stakeholders in a single project / program (e.g. client side Director/VP, Business Users of SW, Product Owner, Architect, QA Lead/QA Director, DevOps and Infra).
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
1. *Ability to lead all relevant project stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
2. *Assist all departments involved in a project to set realistic goals and ensure technical feasibility of solutions.
3. *Coordinate resource availability, alignment, and allocation across all departments both technical and non-technical to ensure project success.
4. *Develop risk management plans and perform risk assessments.
5. *Develop detailed work breakdown structures, monitor, and track progress against task completion.
6. *Successfully build and manage relationships with project team members and external partners to the district.
7. *Develop communication plans and consistently communicate project status to stakeholders in an organized consistent manner. 8. *Lead change management of scope, schedule, and budget.
9. *Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
10. *Assist in coordinating district-wide events and activities as designated.
11. *Coordinate the development of and monitoring of budgets, including expenditures related to programs and grants.
12. Coordinate efforts of personnel outside scope of authority to achieve project goals.
13. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Chief Technology Officer.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor degree in a technical field or equivalent experience, degree preferred.
  • Three (3) years of work experience implementing, managing, and maintaining multiple simultaneous technology projects.
  • Experience leading, to completion, enterprise level application or infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple vendors and subcontractors.
  • Having or working toward attaining Project Management Institute Certification (i.e. Project Management Professional (PMP) status.
