Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst

With over 25 years of excellence in both residential and commercial projects and a commitment to quality, Cambridge Drywall Services Ltd. has earned a reputation as Southern Ontario's leading commercial steel stud and drywall installation company.

Job Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Financial Reporting

  • Provide assistance in preparing and analyzing internal month end financial statements
  • Provide assistance in preparing external annual financial statements with accompanying notes in accordance with ASPE
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly schedules and supporting documents for various financial statement line items
  • Provide assistance on external annual reviews and audits
  • Perform variance analysis compared to prior year and budget

Project Analysis

  • Perform detailed analysis of projects, including the preparation of the monthly cost projection reports that are distributed to senior management
  • Analyze, investigate and explain variances by project between actual and estimated amounts, including labour, material and overhead
  • Coordinate and lead project meetings with senior management
  • Analyze project estimates for accuracy and completeness

Other Analysis

  • Prepare monthly financial exhibits
  • Coordinate treasury payments and manage payables
  • Provide data input for the annual budget as it relates to the cost projection of each project
  • Prepare ad hoc analysis, as required

Job Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required:

The ideal candidate will have the following job skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Enrolled in/Completed the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) certification program
  • 2 to 4 years of working in a CPA firm or in a construction environment is an asset
  • Exceptional spreadsheet skills, must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience working with Plexxis (Oracle) or other fully integrated ERP system is an asset
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
  • Strong analytical skills, detailed oriented and problem solving ability
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
