Job description

GaN is seeking an experienced, hands-on Business Operations Manager, located in Huntsville, AL, to oversee our day-to-day operations. The successful candidate is a proactive, resourceful leader who enjoys solving problems and helping a growing organization scale successfully and is comfortable with rolling up their sleeves to help execute day-to-day operational needs. We're looking for a candidate who has a successful small business operations track record!


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage GaN's daily business operations ensuring efficient execution across all functional areas.
  • Manage and coordinate core business functions, including:
    • Human Resources
    • Accounting and financial operations
    • Government contracts administration and compliance
    • Proposal development and capture efforts
    • Facilities management and office operations
  • Business development support.
  • Corporate administration.
  • Ensure compliance with federal regulations, company policies, and customer requirements.
  • Identify operational risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong understanding, experience, and successful execution of all core business functions, including HR, contracts, accounting, facilities, proposals, and corporate operations for a small business of 50-200 people.
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible operations or business management experience.
  • Experience working for a federal government contractor or DoW contractor.
  • Demonstrated experience improving business processes and implementing operational best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common business management systems.
  • Demonstrated successful experience working in a small or growing government contracting business.
  • Familiarity with FAR, DFARS, and government contract administration.
  • Experience supporting proposal development and capture efforts.
  • Knowledge of DCAA-compliant accounting environments and government contracting business practices.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must have Security Clearance.
