Job description

Amazon Studios is seeking a Production Finance Executive to join the finance team supporting the expanding studios production business of Amazon.com. Our projects include The RINGS OF POWER, REACHER, JACK RYAN and THE BOYS. This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at a high-growth stage and have ownership of the production accounting and production finance functions for Scripted TV projects


This position manages the production accounting and finance functions over the life-cycle of production from development through post production. The candidate must operate in a fast-paced, global, results-oriented environment, and have the ability to influence the decisions of senior business leaders through effective verbal and written communication, logical reasoning, and the presentation of alternatives. The successful candidate must be able to think and act both strategically and tactically.

Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial, as well as an ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, scope technical requirements and prioritize.
The role requires a self-starter, who is able to work autonomously as well as cross-functionally with other teams including Creative, Development, Production, Legal, Business Affairs, Finance, and Accounting. The ideal candidate will understand the episodic television production business and be able to liaise between the Amazon business teams and production personnel.


Key job responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for the financial operation of multiple original television productions.
- Oversee production accounting functions to ensure compliance with Studio finance and accounting guidelines.
- Work with show Accountants to drive accurate, complete, and timely cost reporting and tracking of show assets and qualified tax incentive spend.
- Provide guidance and assistance with day-to-day workflow questions and facilitate resolution of issues.
- Work closely with Production, Post, Legal and Business Affairs teams during the budgeting process to review, analyze and vet production budgets.
- Oversee production incentive workflow and ensure receipt of tax credits or cash.
- Manage cash flow and funding schedules for assigned projects in multiple currencies.
- Manage and administer budget templates in accordance with production requirements, shoot locations and tax jurisdictions


- Ad hoc analyses and projects as required.
