What you will do:

The Warehouse Associate โ€“ Shipping/Receiving is an entry-level position responsible for performing basic tasks related to the receipt, storage, and shipment of goods. This role supports daily warehouse operations by ensuring accurate order picking, packing, and inventory handling. The associate works under close supervision and follows established procedures to maintain safety, quality, and efficiency standards.

  • Receive, verify, and document incoming shipments by checking packing slips, bills of lading, and purchase orders for accuracy.
  • Inspect inbound materials for damage, shortages, or quality issues and report discrepancies promptly.
  • Accurately enter receiving and shipping data into the warehouse management system (WMS) or ERP system.
  • Prepare outbound shipments by generating shipping labels, packing lists, and required documentation.
  • Coordinate with freight carriers, couriers, and internal teams to schedule pickups and deliveries.
  • Ensure shipments are packaged, labeled, and staged properly to meet carrier and customer requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of inbound and outbound inventory movements.
  • Support cycle counts and inventory audits related to shipping and receiving activity.
  • Assist with resolving shipping errors, delayed deliveries, and customer or internal inquiries related to orders.
  • Maintain organized receiving and shipping areas to ensure safe and efficient workflow.
  • Comply with all safety regulations related to material handling, dock operations, and equipment use.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Prior experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse logistics preferred but not required.
  • Basic computer skills; experience using inventory or shipping systems a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Basic math and reading skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime as needed.
