Overview

The Project Manager (Manager) provides overall on-site leadership at various sites, supervises and coordinates activities to ensure safe and efficient operations. The Manager will communicate with the VP/GM to ensure product quality and the Construction onsite management to discuss schedules and production needs. The Manager takes measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, and crew performance. The Manager must maintain an acceptable three-year driving history. The Manager will travel frequently, driving over long distance, in order to accommodate various project work schedules.

Responsibilities
  • Complete all required safety training as scheduled and participate in all project TBT and safety meetings
  • Review SDS's as needed
  • Ensure progress in meeting time schedules correctly utilizing and coordinating workers and equipment
  • Maintain time and materials records necessary to complete daily job costing
  • Oversee plant record keeping and daily production schedules in order to submit reports on production and maintenance to the appropriate parties
  • Monitor material inventory and place orders when necessary
  • Effectively communicate with construction site management and plant operators to maintain project work schedules
  • Provide direction, training and assistance to a plant crew
  • Hire, train and evaluate employees
  • Ensure subordinate employees comply with company health and safety policies
  • Use Personal Protective Equipment appropriate for the duties performed
  • Willing to work various shifts according to project needs and willing to travel throughout southwestern states as assigned
Qualifications

All construction field positions within the company are considered safety sensitive. The Project Manager (Manager) will travel between active plant sites in an effort to oversee operations and to provide support and direction for the onsite plant crew members. The Manager will spend most of the work week in a production plant office and company pick-up truck but will occasionally work in and around the production area and must wear required personal protective equipment. The work environment frequently exposes the Manager to high levels of noise, fumes from diesel fuel, oil and gasoline that are typically associated with aggregate production plants. The position is safety sensitive as the Manager will occasionally work around operational heavy equipment and moving machinery. The Manager must be able to climb on and off of equipment safely and walk over even and uneven surfaces. The Manager will often drive a company vehicle long distances over long periods of time safely operating the vehicle while sitting for extended periods.
