The Regression Tester / Functional Analyst will support manual testing activities for the CGI Advantage financial system following system enhancements and feature releases. This role focuses on validating system functionality, executing regression test scenarios, and ensuring financial business processes perform as expected. The ideal candidate combines hands-on testing experience with functional knowledge of federal/state financial systems such as CGI Advantage or Momentum.
Please note, this position is contingent upon award and is for an initial 4-month project, with a likely extension. We anticipate award in June 2026
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Execute manual regression testing for CGI Advantage (or similar ERP financial systems) following system updates and releases
  • Develop, review, and execute test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios based on functional requirements and release documentation
  • Validate system functionality across key financial modules (e.g., GL, AP, AR, Budgeting, Procurement)
  • Identify, document, and track defects through resolution using defect tracking tools
  • Perform functional analysis to verify business processes and ensure alignment with financial management requirements
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and system integrators to clarify requirements and resolve issues
  • Analyze test results and provide clear reporting on system performance, issues, and risks
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial policies, and system standards
  • Assist in maintaining and improving test documentation, procedures, and reusable test assets

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in software testing, system validation, or business/functional analysis
  • Demonstrated experience performing manual testing and regression testing in enterprise systems
  • Experience working with CGI Advantage, Momentum, or similar ERP financial systems
  • Understanding of financial management processes (e.g., accounting, budgeting, invoicing, or procurement workflows)
  • Experience writing and executing test cases, test scripts, and defect reports
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple testing tasks within defined timelines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, etc.) for test documentation and reporting
  • The ability to obtain a public trust
